Willard Wigan has probably got some of the most stable hands of anybody on earth! Willard is an artist that carves sculptures and figures that can all fit into the eye of a needle. And hey, at least Willard isn’t doing this for nothing. He managed to sell his entire petite collection for about $20 million.

It's rare we get to see video like this: Tian Lipu, Commissioner of the Chinese State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO), talks about the importance of industrial design, part of China's new IP strategy.

It's not clear who specifically the actual interviewer is, but the video appeared on the website of The Trade Marks [sic] and Designs Registration Office of the European Union, to whom Tian "led a delegation to...review the progress of cooperation between the two organisations." It will be very interesting indeed to see what happens if China, having played out its Factory to the World status, starts becoming the Design Studio to the World.

Mythbusters melted several bricks of pure lead and tested a scientific phenomenon known as the Leidenfrost effect, where a liquid that comes in contact with a mass that is significantly above that object’s boiling point will cause the liquid to form an insulating vapor layer that will protect it and keep it from boiling.

The Mythbusters guys demonstrate it in slow-motion here first with a steel ball and then with their own fingers. DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME.
