China's new IP strategy: ID! ( 400 views )

It's rare we get to see video like this: Tian Lipu, Commissioner of the Chinese State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO), talks about the importance of industrial design, part of China's new IP strategy.

It's not clear who specifically the actual interviewer is, but the video appeared on the website of The Trade Marks [sic] and Designs Registration Office of the European Union, to whom Tian "led a delegation to...review the progress of cooperation between the two organisations." It will be very interesting indeed to see what happens if China, having played out its Factory to the World status, starts becoming the Design Studio to the World.
