Chris Says:
What did the prices look like 1,2,3 & 4 years ago? D Says:
I'm packing up right now to move to Riyadh for the .45/gal gas prices. Arnar Says:
Iceland is $7.91/gal M Says:
San Fran is ALOT more than 3.32/gal -- closer to 4 George Waring Says:
Im always amazed at teh stupidity of these types of articles. I could care less what the French are paying. I only care about what Americans are paying, and to be specific, this American J Says:
ALOT is two words. When are people going to understand this?
I always remind the whiners in my life that gas prices are much higher in other parts of the world. They think $3.50 is expensive, ha! Anti-J Says:
J,
Not only is ALOT not two words, it's not even a word. Edward Says:
I'm glad J and Anti-J didn't jump all over George for his typing: "Im always amazed at teh stupidity of these types of articles. I could care less what the French are paying. I only care about what Americans are paying, and to be specific, this American" George forgot the apostrophe in the first word and typed teh instead of the. Oh, he forgot the period at the end.
Now, I have to admit his comment is typical for Americans. You'd think they were the only ones that count on this planet. I think Bush's Mars expedition
is actually a good idea; send every last one, and the Mexicanos can take back all that is rightfully theirs!
I would be my last dollar that M had intended to type "a lot", two words that are actually an adverb. See below:
American Heritage Dictionary of Idioms
a lot
Very many, a large number; also, very much. For example, A lot of people think the economy is declining, or Sad movies always made her cry a lot. It is sometimes put as a whole lot for greater emphasis, as in I learned a whole lot in his class. It may also emphasize a comparative indication of amount, as in We need a whole lot more pizza to feed everyone, or Mary had a lot less nerve than I expected. [Colloquial; early 1800s]

Lucky bastards...
In Portugal we pay $7 per gallon Harry Bollox Says:
Petrol/gas may be cheap in Riyadh, but alcohol costs 10 years per litre. Anyone compare cost of 500ml Coke per country? TomW Says:
Interesting blog on the gas prices around the world. I feel for the countries with gas prices over $6.00. For those of us working stiffs trying to make a living, the $3.00 and higher gas prices are a problem and can make it difficult to make ends meet. Are others as sick of the prices as I am?
I ran across an interesting site recently that has a free 10-day mini-course that teaches how to use less gas. Watch also for the course that shows how to cut $520 per year off your gas bill. I thought it was bull at first, but after reading it, my family is already starting to see the savings.

Actually gas prices are cheap in the US . In asia all I saw was motorcyles on the road . Only the top 1% of japanese households can even afford to buy a personal car. Here is a site I found http://www.sonomabuzz.com Matilda Says:
In the United States connecticut to be exact we are paying $1.80 Bitchasses! Ario Says:
in Jakarta we pay $0.40 to the litre (hey, we use the metric system here :D) and people are still complaining how expensive it is... and yet... congestion tops the nations' problems. Angelo Says:
Hydrogen after market cells are coming out in countries like the US, Canada, and some parts in Asia. One interesting site: www.bluwavehybrid.com. I think they are way advance in fuel saving devices.

Wow, $6+ in France and England! I didn't know that the U.S. and Canada are finally on par - of course, it makes sense now that our dollars are about equal. I live on the Gulf Coast in Florida where we tend to have some of the highest prices in the U.S. for some odd reason. Fortunately for us here in Florida we have found a company based out of West Palm Beach that has been doing 49%-52% rebates every month for the last year - see gasolineclub.info for the scoop - that makes our real cost about only $1.40 per gallon.
